The magical tale of the fox and the mushroom

This beautiful fox staring intently at a piece of  flying sausage lives in Leeds. She comes round to this house every breakfast and dinner. Her family have been visiting for generations and she has about five or six brothers and sisters. Sometimes she comes alone, sometimes with others. Whenever the Human family who look after the foxes go out for dinner, they will often ask for a ‘fox bag’ instead of a ‘doggy bag’ to take home to their orange friends. Foxy encounters in London town

I get such a buzz seeing foxes running around the streets of London and this little sweet fella (girl?) which I photographed standing on the porch of a house in Holland Park this morning is no exception. There are a staggering 10,000 urban foxes in London and while they’ve been immortalised in books, movies and even as TV personalities (think Basil Brush), most Londoners are ambivalent to these orange coloured urban dwellers and barely give them a second glance.
